The Best of Art San Diego

Last weekend YogiRu attended Art San Diego at Balboa Park Activity Center.

Featured artist Michael Carini showcased his work as a Spotlight Artist, a designation giving collectors a focused look at several cutting-edge artists who will each be creating a site-specific solo exhibition.

Naturally, we went to support Carini's exhibit which was the perfect opportunity to debut his yoga legging designs: A Father That Was The Son and Fractured Realities And Dreams Brought To Light

Carini's work was front and center at the event, with three exhibition spaces and large canvases prominently flanked on each side of the show entrance as guests arrived.

YogiRu owner Shayne Ebrahimi wore A Father That Was The Son yoga leggings as art enthusiasts passed by the life-size painting.

We also had the opportunity to meet with other exhibitors like Jeff Vermeeren of Vermeeren Fine Art and Alex Dikowski

Jeff Vermeeren differentiates himself by combining chemicals with fire and ice to create colorful works of art that are fingerprint and UV resistant.

Alex Dikowski's exhibit Attention Economy, featured mixed media collages and conceptual artworks which explored the impact of pop culture and mass media and how it affects our perceptions of today's society.

Each artist brings a unique story and outlook to their work. We look forward to collaborating with more artists to bring their art to life on yoga pants.
